Loves Liza Minnelli, Dudley Moore, The Beatles, The Who, The Monkees, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Dean Martin, etc. Definitely born in the wrong era.
28 year old girl from the east bay area in California (read as: nowhere on the map) and also loves all things craft-wise. Is an avid cross-stitcher, knitter, crocheter, photographer, writer, loves drawing, and generally anything that involves making something pretty.
Also loves nostalgia. Both from the 60's/70's, from her own childhood in the 80's/90's, and some even older stuff. You've been warned.

ROTFLMAO. The Gene is Liza’s dad thing is a long-standing fandom joke — I truly doubt anyone actually *believes* it, hahaha

my edit of a facebook convo between Judy Gene and some others :)
So I walked in and they had Gene Kelly’s clown outfit from The Pirate, *tears*. Then I turned around and my life freaking ended. Right in front of me was the original blue checked dress, WAIT FOR IT…. from The Wizard of Oz. Judy Garland’s beautiful ass was once in that dress.
So basically, even Disney acknowledges Jugenea. ;)

Today is the 10th anniversary of my grandpa’s passing. Among other things, he was a tap dancer, and his idol was Gene Kelly his entire life. I think I got a lot of my love of classic film from my grandpa, and for that, I’m forever grateful.
Today I went and got the mail…. I found this for me. ……….I didn’t order this. (I’m most definitely not complaining, though.) I had no idea this was coming. And for it to randomly, out of nowhere, arrive *today*, out of of all the days of the year…..I have serious goosebumps right now. Hi, Papa. :’) I still love and miss you…

30 DAY OTP CHALLENGE – DAY 29 – DOING SOMETHING SWEET
Gene was sitting on the sofa, when he heard his wife quietly tread in from the cold of the winter outside. But she wasn’t humming her usual tune of ‘you wonderful you’, but what sounded like a sob. With Gene hearing this, his senses woke. He had never heard her come in sobbing. Judy stood in the hallway for a minute, gathering her thoughts; whilst putting a hand on the small table that stood in the hall, her other hand was on her head, enclosed in it was a tissue. She still had the words of ‘I’m taking her, and you can’t stop me’ circling around in her head. Her baby, her Liza, was going to be taken away. Deciding to see where Gene was she slowly and carefully walked down the hallway toward the door of the living room. Hanging up on the wall were pictures of her and Gene and Liza; every time she saw one of Liza, it made her tears start again.
When she reached the door, she just stood there for a minute, thinking of what to say, plucking up the courage to walk in. Judy opened the door slowly, meekly, and paused halfway through, to cry a little more. Finally she opened the door to see Gene sitting there, with his arms open.
‘Oh, babe’ he said, and signalled for her to come to him.
Judy went and sat next to her husband, and was wrapped in his arms. She laid her head on his chest and he put his arms around her, resting them on her back.
‘He’s gonna take her away’ she sobbed.
‘Who’s going to take who away?’ Gene asked, pulling the hair tie out of Judy’s hair, making it fall out of its bun, and the soft curls lay across her back. Gene stroked her hair as she began to talk again.
‘Vincente… he’s going to take Liza, He told court… I’m not a good enough mother. He said… he’s not going to let me… see her.’ Judy closed her eyes and placed the tissue, which was still in her hand, over her mouth; to quieten the sobs.
‘Babe, he’s not going to do that! He’s said this before, remember? And I set him straight. He can’t take our baby from us! Come on springtime, it’s ok’ Gene started to get himself worked up, Vincente had said this before many times, but after Gene had given him a talking too, or his hand may have given his face a talking to once, everything was sorted; he didn’t think he would start this again.
‘He’s going to take my darling away!’ Judy started to cry again, she started to think of Liza living with Vincente, and being too young to remember who Judy was. What if he did win this time and Judy couldn’t see Liza? Judy’s mind started to race, and her sobs started to get louder.
‘Come on springtime, cheer up, I’m here, and whilst I am here, he’s not going to do anything! Now, now, come on, stop this crying, try and sleep, you’ve had a bad day.’
Gene could feel Judy snuggle next to him, he reached the blanket that was folded on the armrest of the settee and opened it out, and placed it over Judy. She was safe, and Gene wasn’t going to let this go, he wasn’t going to let Judy’s, his, their baby be taken away. He could feel Judy relax as she started to drift off into a deep sleep, but he kept his arms around her until he, too, fell asleep.
D: Omg, the feels…
